How many of us had our identity stolen before?
Many would say no, some would say yes...
Or, maybe you had your identity stolen without realizing it...
Sometimes, we might be fooled into giving away our passwords by websites such as this:
With your password and username at their hands, theres are ends to what hackers could do with it.
This type of hacking technique is called "phishing"
Apart from that, some hackers might be able to hack into your account by using "Brute force" that is to say, by guessing every possible combinations of passwords.
Therefore, it is important for us to choose a complex password that is made up of random symbols and number, but is easy for us to remember.
How to make passwords that are hard to be cracked?
Firstly, think of a statement. For example: I am Einstein, the cleverest of all.
Then, take the first letter of the statement: I,A,E,T,C,O,A.
Subsequently, replace some letters with symbols: 1@3tc0@.....(1=I, @=A, 3=E, 0=O)
This way, you'll get a hard to crack password which is easy to remember!
Apart from all that, hackers might be using a type of viruses known as "keyloggers"
Keyloggers has a very simple but deadly function.
The record every key pressed on the keyboard of your computer, then they sent it to the hacker.
Thus, the hacker will have access to your accounts.
How to prevent that from happening?
Every time before using a public computer(those in airports, cyber cafes and free internet access spots),
do the following check:

1. start cmd.exe (command prompt)
2. type in "tasklist"
3. check for the following processes: keylog.exe, keylogservice.exe, keysvc.exe, keyservice.exe or anything similar
4. Kill these processes by typing in "taskkill /pid"
5. close the cmd, the keylogger is removed.
Remember, be careful with your identity, don't let the hackers rob them!
